Opening Act!
One of the most wonderful things about this whole book deal is the people that I’ve met, some of whom have become beloved friends. When I wrote about Henry singing Sinatra at the Village Casino in Bemus Point, I didn’t know him — not even to say hello. His singing, and the whole experience of the Village Casino, inspired me to write a chapter about what basically ended up being “tenderness.” Now, Henry and I are close friends.
Which is why I’m so excited to be doing a reading and book signing on Thursday, August 28th, 8 p.m. at the Village Casino. I think I’m the opening act! This may be the last night of the season for karaoke at the Casino: summer is winding down here very quickly. Soon, Henry will make his yearly trek to Florida, where he will celebrate his 87th birthday.
Please join us if you can, and tell your friends!

- Hey, Yinzers!
What a splendid evening! I was absolutely delighted after hearing Beth read one chapter…a chapter that brought back many wonderful memories! I can’t wait to read the rest of the story! My only regret is that we didn’t do this sooner. While there was a great following of Beth’s neighbors and friends last night, and my loyal singers of course, there wasn’t the usual crowd because the season is winding down. It’s a shame that more people were not exposed to this great author and beautiful person, Beth Peyton. I am honored to call you one of my new friends and wish you all the best in the future. Anything I can do to support your book in the future I will gladly take part in! Thanks to those that were there last night and sorry for those who didn’t have the pleasure!
