Book Groups
Although not always, this blogging thing sometimes feels a little too “one-way.” Which is one reason I’m very excited to join book group discussions. If I’m able, I will meet with you in person. If not, we can visit by phone or Skype. I love to get feedback from readers, and even more, love to meet and visit with readers. It’s fascinating to me how much I learn about my own writing, and my own life, from you, even as you share your own experiences with me.
I had a wonderful visit with a book club from Mayville (thanks Sandi!), and with a book club in Portland, Oregon (thanks, Barb!). I recently met, via telephone, with Joan Scott’s book club from Macedonia, Iowa, and with the women from the Mayville Library’s Tuesday Club.
In the near future, I plan to work up some discussion questions and a suggested format to facilitate good discussion among readers, and between readers and me when we connect, so watch for that. Meantime, please consider including me in the conversation should your group select my book.
